Knowledge Asymmetry
The most fundamental of inequities, the one that perpetuates all other inequities is information asymmetry, or more accurately, knowledge asymmetry. Almost any other inequity, whether in opportunity or outcome, could be mitigated if only the knowledge was available to the principal or a stakeholder, that the asymmetry existed; that solutions or in the absence thereof, coping mechanisms exist; that resources exist; somewhere, somehow. Further, the asymmetry is only resolved when this knowledge is delivered in a manner that allows the recipient to benefit from it - that is factoring in the knowledge delta and the trajectory from the subject’s current state of knowledge to the target state.
